Time for Practice
The Vipers open up the playoffs on Saturday in Reno. You know what that means? Five days of practice, including four at home, to get Rich Melzer and Terrel Harris integrated in the offensive and defensive schemes.
In the spirit of Rhode Island, Jonah Goldberg is neither a doctor, nor a professor, but he is the statistical wizard of RGV (despite the occasional math breakdown... he did attend COM at Boston University... you know, the college of OPTIONAL math... actually, it stands for College of Communication). Jonah is the home color commentator and road play-by-play announcer for Vipers broadcasts. He also wears a whole host of other hats for the organization, including Director of Communications.
The nickname actually comes from the Rockets. Play-by-Play broadcaster Craig Ackerman used that nickname for his partner, Adam Wexler, when they were working together, so it only makes sense that their NBA Development League counterparts would do the same.
